📝 We are excited to share the following key learnings according to the focus of the meeting „Generative AI in Manufacturing – Key Potentials and Challenges“:
▶️ We had the opportunity to visit the ABB plant in Ratingen, which this year received the GEO Award as part of the “Factory of the Year” for excellence in the entire value chain with regard to process automation, digital transformation and sustainability. Special thanks to Thorsten Fugel and his team for personally guiding us through the factory.
▶️ Fascinating insights into the five-year development of digitalization in production as an RWTH spin-off at Enlyze, presented by Henning Wilms.
▶️ An impressive presentation by Andre Wenzel and Jan Godesaer from CLAAS on the strategic integration and specific use cases of AI in production.
▶️ The key potentials and challenges of generative AI in production lie in the application of market-available solutions for order processing (e.g., personalized assembly instructions), fine-tuning market-ready foundation models for quality processes, and the development of foundation models for design and work planning by specialized providers
▶️ An insightful guest lecture by Marcel Dütscher on identifying and utilizing Gen-AI solutions.
