Production Analytics – Managing production complexities with use-appropriate data analysis
Companies are confronted with increasing complexity in their production processes. The high number and diversity of operational decisions in the production environment push simple systems for decision-making support and manual evaluations of production data to their limits. Artificial Intelligence (AI) procedures help to gain valuable insights into how this complexity can be managed by data analysis. Often, however, the application of AI for decision-making is not easy to follow or understand for production employees. The approach of the GPMC promotes a continuous integration of expert knowledge into the analysis process.
The GPMC Production Analytics tool was developed on the basis of technical production requirements (e.g. typical data quality issues) and offers high usability for users without any background in data sciences. Based on a systematic data analysis process, the tool guides the user through the four phases of data exploration, preprocessing, analysis and evaluation.
