Data Analytics and AI
On February 24th and February 25th the first Global Production Community meeting of this year took place. Due to the ongoing corona pandemic, the event took place again digitally on two consecutive days. The central topic of this meeting was “Data Analytics and AI”. The outcomes were productive discussions as well as inspiring lectures and informative keynote speeches.
We would like to thank everyone involved who made this meeting a complete success. We are pleased that Bühler AG took part as a guest. In the course of this, a lecture on “Demand Planning with AI” was given. To our delight, we recognized the participation of top-class representatives from the members of our community Eagle Burgmann, Henkel, Miele, Mocom and Weidmüller.
Also, we’d like to make use of the chance to emphasize two highlights of the meeting: Mr Baudis, who gave us deep insights into his experiences in the industry in his exciting lecture “Digital rules of the game for the production of the future” and Mr Schulz from MOCOM / Otto Krahn Group, who moderated the workshop “Procedure for digitization projects”. You can find excerpts of the results of this fascinating workshop (in German) by switching over to the German version of this site or by clicking here.
The Global Production Community
Participants of the community are enabled to critically analyze their own activities regarding the design of their network and to continue the development of their own abilities. The visits to the community partners during the networking events allow insights into various types of successfully designed global production networks. In effect, a non-competitive and confidential competence network is and will be developed systematically, allowing for intensive knowledge exchange with companies in other industry sectors.
