Kick-off Meeting: Konsortial Benchmarking Study “AI in Operations”

On February 8th, the Kick-off meeting for the Consortial Benchmarking study „AI in Operations“ took place. The main purpose of this meeting was to meet the project partners Bystronic, Endress+Hauser, Miele, Neoperl, Phoenix Contact & ZEISS for the first time and jointly define the focus of the project.

The study‘s research is aimed at expanding our knowledge in the industry for the production management of tomorrow. The findings will give us a better understanding of how to identify and implement use cases of artificial intelligence successfully in industrial operations. It is carried out by the GPMC together with the Werkzeugmaschinenlabor, WZL der RWTH Aachen and Institute of Technology Management, University of St.Gallen (ITEM-HSG).

After the Kick-off, we will now be moving on to the next stage of the benchmarking study by creating a questionnaire to identify and learn from successful companies throughout Germany and neighboring countries.
