The best strategy to manage crises is to form a resilient organization by reducing complexity and cutting costs. Cost cutting not only opens the possibility for your company to increase cost efficiency but also leads to an improvement in your business processes. But be careful, if the cost-saving potentials are not analyzed holistically, it can harm the organization.
Our cost cutting approach uses the synergy potential of the RWTH campus, a unique environment, in which industry and research collaborate for the production of the future. The centerpiece of the campus are the thematically focused centers, in which experts from different fields of research and industry partners work on innovative solutions. We, the Global Production Management Center, Complexity Management Academy and R&D Intelligence Center formed an interdisciplinary alliance to provide a holistic cost cutting approach to our customers. Together we can address the product and production perspective simultaneously by combining our expertise gained through various industry and research projects.
First, we evaluate market requirements and how they are covered through the current product portfolio. Then we will visualize and analyze the variety of variants and create a generic product and function structure. In addition, we will survey your production process and create transparency of the inherent complexity and costs. Our tools such as Aixperanto facilitate this process and provide the fundament for data-based decisions. All results along the entire value chain are synthesized to identify potentials to reduce the complexity and increase the cost-efficiency. Together we will prioritize the fields of action and derive a feasible implementation roadmap and start the realization of a successful future.
